VSS Entertainment - Easter Time Egg Hunt Games For Children

By VSS Entertainment

Easter time is on the way!  Consider these tips for getting your pastels on. These  nifty and simple suggestions can help make your children's Easter time fun and  special. Ask children the things they love most about Easter time and you are prone to  get 1 of 2 responses:  "the chocolate" or "the hunt for eggs on Easter Sunday".

Easter Time Egg Treasure Search: You can reach an entirely different degree of  excitement and fun towards the standard Easter time egg search by developing  a unique "rabbit trail" of clues which will guide your son or daughter to one egg  after another.  As bait and to keep them going, use a generous basket of Easter  trinkets at the end of the hunt as the ultimate prize in the final hiding spot.

Start the hunt with crafty personalized letters addressed to each child and  signed by the Easter Bunny.  The letter should have a slight clue to get them  going.  For example:

"Happy Easter Day, Little One!  The sun is shining but my last night rounds were  super exciting.  I hopped, hopped, hopped around and dropped a few eggs  which I need help finding.  If you find them all, who knows what treats there will  also be!  Grab your Easter basket, get ready to run, and look for clues to find  your fun!  What do you need to be able to run?  Something that might go on your  FEET?  Oh, maybe that's the ticket to STEP towards your next treat!

Enjoy your day and your hunt!  Hugs and Kisses from The Big Bunny"

You can then put an egg in a shoe or a rain boot that is perhaps hidden behind  the porch steps  (which would be the best answer to the first clue in the letter).  From  here, keep hiding eggs and writing more clues that go with the hiding place and  make a funny trail.  When you get to the end of your hunt, make certain that the  last hiding space is big enough to truly hide the giant Basket.   If you want to do  this game as part of an Easter picnic or party, you could leave a sneaky trail of chocolate  bunnies instead of Easter Eggs.

If you want some assistance with writing your trail of clues, you can easily find  terrific treasure search game firms online that can offer play-ready printable  search games. These print outs are ideal for an Easter hunt where most of the  egg clues would be found inside of typical areas of the home, kitchen, or yard.

Easter Time Word Scramble: A variation on an egg hunt would be to have a  secret message hidden inside plastic Easter eggs which must be unscrambled  before running to the next clue.  To start this game, again write the children  personalized letters from the Easter Bunny that has instructions for the game.   For example:

"It's A Special Easter Game for You, Little One!  It was such a busy night hop,  hop, hopping about, hiding all those eggs which must be found quickly. Unscramble  some words you will find in your eggs in order to take you to the next place.  If  you do this right, you might find a super special Easter treat in the very last  space!  Good luck!  Hugs and kisses from the Big Bunny"

Come up with the first clue word, write it on colored paper and cut up the letters  into individual squares that will give them something to unscramble.  Make the  letters large enough so that they won't be easily lost, but will still fit inside of the  plastic egg.  You may wish to use one color of paper for one word and a different  color paper for the second word if you have two word location clues like  "BATHROOM SHOWER".  Place the next egg there with a new clue to next  location.  Again make sure that the final hiding place with the Easter Basket is  large enough that they won't see their surprise until they have worked through  the word clue game all the way to the end.  The eggs may then be put at  random at home just like any regular egg search.

It always possible to take any traditional Easter game and make it special for  your own family.  Take lots of selfies with your kids such that they will remember the fun for many years from now. Happy Easter Egg hunting to everyone!
